About UsOur vision for i-lign and our customersEssentially, we work so our customers will love their work, and love using i-lign. That means: We help create workplaces where happy and productive people meet less, and make more and better decisions. We offer organisations the project and portfolio infrastructure that best enables them to focus on core business and strategic goals. We support the flow of ideas and innovation in and around an organisation, and we support organisations to work with each other. Our Commitment to YouWe know that buying enterprise management software is difficult. It is often hard to distinguish one product from another - and there are lots of them. Every advertising pitch and feature specification looks the same. Products look great in the brochures but turn out to be too hard to use. Marketing convention says that buying a new product is risky whereas buying a known-brand product is safe. Marketing convention also says ... hook the prospect, tease them along and supply information incrementally as you build a relationship. We just don't think this is the way to do business. Our commitment to you is that we will simply provide you with all the information upfront, so you can make your own choices. There will be no sales pitch - no marketing. Our pricing, support and implementation models will be completely transparent. If we say it...we'll prove it. And...we'll invite you to try the product before you buy. We'll encourage you face your organisational and cultural change challenges. We think this is the most honest approach. What makes us want to come to work each day?On the face of it the i-lign team is the same as many other companies - with a mix of practitioners and technical experts focussed on building the best management software we can. But what gets us to work each day is:
Why build more software? The world is full of project management software so why build more? It's simple – we didn't think the tools out there were good enough. We didn't think there was enough choice. You either bought the complex "top-of-the-range" or cobbled together your own toolset. There was nothing in the middle space - enterprise strength, right functionality, good dollar value, rapid ROI. That's the space we want to be in. Try before you buyPerhaps selecting software based on checklists is not the right approach. Many of the potential customers that look at i-lign seem to want to make a selection based on how the software matches a checklist of features. We agree that checklists have their place as does price, but we believe that usability and overall design of the software is equally, if not more, important. We all know of expensive software packages that have only been partially implemented because of their complexity. We don't want to be in this space.
