Configuring Project Prioritisation

To use the Project Prioritisation feature in i-lign, project dimensions and their values have to be defined, and security permissions defined for Organisational roles.

Prioritising Projects

The i-lign Project Prioritisation feature is a type of decision matrix analysis in which Project Priority Dimensions are used to evaluate which factors drive the prioritisation of the project.

Managing project number allocation

Project number allocation can be centrally managed either externally to i-lign or by using i-lign's auto-number generation function.

Are project numbers in i-lign unique?

i-lign does not force project numbers or finance numbers to be unique.

Changing the Lifecycle of an active project

An active project may have approved Stages in its Lifecycle. Its it is not possible to delete or edit approved Stages.

However, you can replace your existing Lifecycle with a new Lifecycle that takes into account that an approved stage needs to be extended, the stage was approved by mistake, or a decision has made to follow a different methodology.

Displaying expired items

Items such as resources have an end date assigned to them. When that end date has passed they will not display in lists by default.

Can a project be removed or deleted?

Changing the status of a project to cancelled, completed or pending will result in the project no longer being displayed in any views - only active projects are displayed by default.

Permissions, and Secure Projects

Sometimes organisations need to secure sensitive projects from general view. i-lign's security model is based on work being visible to those with the appropriate security permissions.

Managing Project Status

This topic deals with configuring project status options within i-lign. Project status allows for organisations to define whether a project is Active or Inactive.
