Import Resources: Overview
The i-lign tool has the ability to import existing resource information. This feature is particularly useful in situations where multiple users need to be created in i-lign, for instance at implementation time, or adding another team to the i-lign user base. Can an i-lign schedule be exported to Microsoft Project ?
The export will output the i-lign schedule data (tasks, milestones, constraints, and resource allocations) in an .xml format that can be read by MS Project 2002 and above. Last edited by Anton from i-lign on Sun, 2008-11-30 14:24.
Importing XML file problems
Schedules that are exported to XML and then re-imported without saving them in MS Project will not be imported correctly. Last edited by Elaine on Wed, 2007-03-21 12:44.
MS Project importing and exporting in active projects
Avoid creating a schedule in Microsoft Project, importing and updating it in i-lign, then exporting to Microsoft Project and then repeating the process. Last edited by Elaine on Fri, 2007-03-16 16:22.
