Reviewing deployment progress

You should regularly review your deployment to ensure it is delivering to the outcomes set at the outset of the process. Key things to focus on include:

Portfolio PDF Reports

A Portfolio PDF Report collects information from a selected portfolio and its' sub-portfolios. Many sub-reports also collect information about the projects contained within these portfolios.

Can the risk likelihood and consequence scales be changed?

Risk likelihood and consequence numeric scales are hard-coded into i-lign and cannot be modified. However, from v3.2 onwards, their descriptive terms can be customised to align with an organisation's individual risk management strategy.

Setting Exchange Rates

Organisations spanning several countries will find the ability to display consolidated budgets in different currencies very useful.

How do I access the Portfolio PDF Report and Portfolio Reviews?

The ability to generate a Portfolio PDF Report and create or view a Portfolio Review is not part of any i-lign Organisational Security Role by default and must be added for the functionality to become active.

Portfolio Reviews

A review of a portfolio allows Programme Managers to comment on the overall health of a programme of work, at the same time as Project Managers are providing a review of their individual projects.

Managing project number allocation

Project number allocation can be centrally managed either externally to i-lign or by using i-lign's auto-number generation function.

Accessing and Restricting Portfolios

Portfolio access is normally given using organisational security permissions. Portfolio owners can access their own portfolio without specified permissions but access to other portfolios is restricted.

Displaying expired items

Items such as resources have an end date assigned to them. When that end date has passed they will not display in lists by default.

Project Security

You can control who can access your project, and what areas of your project they can see.
