Project Financials Guide

Follow this link to get the Project Financials Training Cards.

The Project Financials Training Cards assume that you have completed the basic i-lign training module, and will probably be most useful to Project Managers.

Setting Permissions for Project Financials

Permissions to create, delete and edit Project Financials are managed via the Project Menu, accessible from the Project Snapshot.

Total Financial Lines

In i-lign, financial information can be totalled in several different ways.

Activities

Activities provide a rapid entry method to capture and manage short, simple pieces of work that don't require the full overhead of a project.

Financial import formats

Project budget information can be imported from FMIS applications into i-lign, using the following file formats.

Estimating Project Resource expenses

i-lign uses four types of estimate. All of them calculate projected expenses between the Start and End dates of the project.

Project Resource Planning

The Project Resource Planning consolidated view displays a list of planned project and resource information, from the current month and for the following eight months.

Associating project activities with a deliverable

Deliverables are the quantitative and qualitative outputs of a project and each deliverable will have at least one or more tasks or milestones that contribute to it's completion.

Resource allocations for BAU activities

Overhead tasks can be used to allocate a percentage of a resource's time against BAU activities for a specified time period.

Setting Exchange Rates

Organisations spanning several countries will find the ability to display consolidated budgets in different currencies very useful.
