Project Security

Default Project Security Roles are configured by your organisation during implementation. On an individual Project level, individuals with the appropriate permissions (e.g. project managers) can manage role permissions for the individuals assigned to their Project, and for 'guests' to the Project.

Project Reviews Configuration Workshop

This Configuration Workshop paper is one of a series that we will work through with you in order to finalise the configuration of your populated database prior to training and roll-out.

Prioritisation Feature Guide

i-lign offers users two ways of prioritising Projects. One is via a manual drag-and-drop, and the second is via priority dimensions that are configured by your organisation.

i-lign Co-ordinator Position Description

The i-lign Coordinator supports the effective implementation and ongoing use of i-lign, and ensures that all staff use i-lign effectively and consistently, so that projects and activities are run as efficiently as possible, and visibility of projects is improved for key stakeholders.

Setting Permissions to View, Modify and Approve Priorities

Users need the following permissions in order to assign and approve Priorities in i-lign. Your organisation's i-lign administrator will set up the permission to Approve projects, but the permissions to View and Modify Priorities can be limited or assigned on a project-by-project basis.

Configuring Priority Dimensions

Organisations using i-lign can define their own set of Priority Dimensions (what drives their prioritisation) and the Weights of those Dimensions (their relative importance to one another).

Using Priority Dimensions to Prioritise Projects and Concepts

Project Managers assigning priorities to Projects and Concepts will follow the process described on this page.

Managing Project Number Allocation

Project number allocation can be centrally managed either externally to i-lign or by using i-lign's auto-number generation function.

Changing the Lifecycle of an Active Project

An active project may have approved Stages in its Lifecycle. Its it is not possible to delete or edit approved Stages.

However, you can replace your existing Lifecycle with a new Lifecycle that takes into account that an approved stage needs to be extended, the stage was approved by mistake, or a decision has made to follow a different methodology.

Managing 'Guest' Access to Projects

Everyone who uses i-lign in your organisation is given automatic 'Guest' access to your Project until you choose another role for them. Sometimes your organisation may need to secure sensitive projects from general view.
