i-lign uses four types of estimate. All of them calculate projected expenses between the Start and End dates of the project.
Avoid creating a schedule in Microsoft Project, importing and updating it in i-lign, then exporting to Microsoft Project and then repeating the process.
This can be achieved using a Task Pool, but is not possible in i-lign for standard Tasks, where only one allocation rate can be set per Resource per Task.
Your Project's Financial Profile records financial information, and affects how your Project Financials are calculated.
If you are planning a Project, and are unsure which individuals you will be using, or the actual people are unavailable, you can still plan your people-resources in i-lign, and therefore estimate your resource costs.
To manage, review and approve Timesheets, go to your My Work tab (Home > My Work) and scroll down the tabs to Timesheets to review > click Manage.
When people have been allocated to Tasks on a Project, their workloads (allocations) can be monitored using the Task Allocation List.
Users who have been assigned the 'Timesheet User' Resource type can log in to i-lign, but are limited to accessing their own Timesheet and the Tasks assigned to them.
People who have been added as an organisational Resource in i-lign can be assigned to Projects.
You can use i-lign's Microsoft Project import facility to load project information (tasks, milestones, dependencies, resource allocations) from a MS Project file into an i-lign project.
