Advanced notice of changes in i-lign 4.5.4

We anticipate releasing i-lign version 4.5.4 this week. This release includes a new investment profile feature, some improvements to existing functionality and bug fixes.

i-lign Ltd Office Closure Christmas 2009

i-lign Ltd will be closing for the holiday period from 3pm Thursday 24 December (NZ time) until 8am Tuesday 5 January (NZ time). For urgent support issues over this time please call +64 4 910 5698.

Voicemail messages will be checked daily during the holiday period (with the exceptions of New Zealand Stat holidays 25-26, 28 December and 1-2, 4 January).

Advance Notice of Changes in 4.5.2

i-lign plans to release 4.5.2 this week.

Key changes in this release are;

  • The 'Enterprise Financial Dashboard' now shows overall financial data for the whole organisation.
  • Your Organisation's title & logos can now be uploaded to appear on PDF reports and screenprints.
  • Charts have been added to display information on the Project summary and Programme details pages.
  • New items assigned to you on your Homepage now automatically appear at the top of your 'My List' when you next visit your homepage, marked with an orange star.

In-house customers will need to upgrade the version of Java 6 they are running on their servers from version 4.5.2 onwards

Notice for in-house customers only. From i-lign version 4.5.2 onwards, you will have to be running Java 6 update 16 on the server. You do not need to be running Java 6 on your desktops (although we recommend that you do).

Do I need to do anything?

If you are a hosted customer, you don't need to do anything.

Why is this happening?

The Java platform is improving all the time, with performance improvements and security fixes. We make sure that our hosting and test environments are running the latest versions.

Migration of Funding security in i-lign 4.4

The old Funding feature is being replaced by a new Enterprise Financials feature in i-lign 4.4 (due for release on the evening of Tuesday 8th September).

The new feature provides an integrated view of the flow of money, from the organisation level down into Programmes and Projects. The security reflects this.

  • Users who had the old 'Organisation Funding: View' permission will have the new 'Enterprise Financials: View' permission, which allows them to view information at the organisation, Programme and Project levels.
