Users need the following permissions in order to assign and approve Priorities in i-lign. Your organisation's i-lign administrator will set up the permission to Approve projects, but the permissions to View and Modify Priorities can be limited or assigned on a project-by-project basis.

Setting Up Security Roles for Priorities

Permission to View and Modify Priority Dimensions

Default Project Security Roles

To set up a Default Project Security Roles that allow users to view and assign Priority Dimensions, go to Jump To > Set-up > Business Configuration > Default Project Security Roles and click the Actions tab. 

Click the checkboxes for Project Priority: Modify and Project Priority: View under the appropriate Role types.

Roles for Individual Projects

To alter Security Roles for an individual Project, go to the Project Snapshot and click Security under Reference in the left-hand Project Menu.  The Project Role List will display. 

Click the Actions tab. 

To allow users working on that Project to view and modify Priority Dimensions, click the checkboxes for Project Priority: Modify and Project Priority: View under the appropriate Role types

Permission to Approve a Project's Priority Dimensions

To allow users to approve a Project's Priority Dimensions:

Go to Jump To > Set-up > Business Configuration > Organisation Security Roles. The Role List will display.

Click the Actions tab.

Click the checkboxes for Project Priority: Modify Any / Approve under the appropriate Role types.

This allows the users in that Role to approve the priority for any project - they do not need to be assigned to a particular role in the projects themselves.
